Vicky Mumford, RYT 200
As a child, Vicky participated in all forms of dance lessons and played soccer throughout her elementary and high school years in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Vicky’s interest in yoga began several years ago, and her true journey started when she was pregnant with her second daughter. Yoga helped her learn how to connect to her breath, alleviate low back and hip pain and offered just the right amount of gentle movement her body was craving during pregnancy. She fell in love with the flow and from there was “born” her daily yoga practice. Vicky received her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification from Yama Yoga Studio in Milwaukee and has also acquired additional teacher certification in prenatal, postnatal, and kids’ yoga. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from UW Stevens Point with a double major in Biology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences and her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Capella University and is employed in the laboratory at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood Michigan. Vicky and her husband have a lake home in Winchester where they enjoy life with their two daughters, Josephine and Annabelle. By teaching yoga Vicky hopes to spread the knowledge she has gained and introduce others to this practice that has transformed her life physically and mentally.
