Dear Big Snow Resort Family and Friends,
At the top of our list is the health and well-being of our guest and employees. Our managers are closely monitoring statements and updates from the local, state and federal health agencies involving COVID-19. We are and will continue to follow all of their guidelines and recommendations. We are asking our guests and employees to follow public health officials' guidance of frequent hand washing and to stay home if they are feeling ill. Indianhead will remain open for lodging and outdoor activities through this weekend, but many precautionary steps and protocols will be in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Outdoor Activities - With 240 acres of open air skiing and snowboarding area, there is plenty of room to practice our social distancing. Our skier count for the remaining dates are far less than our peak winter crowds, giving everyone even more space to them selves. If we all follow some simple recommendations we can meet the CDC guidelines in regards to groups of people.
If you feel sick, please stay home
When in line for lift tickets, rentals, or the lift, please leave plenty of space between you and others.
To help keep separation, we are asking that our guest ride the chair lift alone or only with family members.
Indoor Areas - We will continue to keep up-to-date on the more recent guidance and precautions from health officials. Our staff will regularly be disinfecting and cleaning any common area.
We are taking out roughly 50% of our indoor seating at our main ticket counter, and increasing the spacing between tables in both our upper Ski High room and lower seating area.
We have changed our food and beverage ordering policy that will allow for takeout food only.
We ask that if you come to our hill, please prepare yourself for some of our amenities to not be in full service. Bring your own food if possible and eat by your cars when the weather will allow. Come dressed and ready for the hill to spend as little time possible inside around others.
