State of Michigan has issued an epidemic order to save lives and protect frontline workers.
Big Snow Resort has taken extra health & safety measures for you, our other guests, and our employees. While you stay at Big Snow Resort you are required to follow all posted instructions.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By visiting Big Snow Resort, you voluntarily take all risks related to exposure of COVID-19.
If any guest does not comply with our posted COVID-19 protocols, they will kindly be ask to leave the premises.
The protocols we have developed are set in place for everyone's safety at our resort. All procedures are following guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and the State of Michigan.
Thank you for keeping yourself and others safe & healthy so we all can enjoy this winter season on the hills.
We are implementing some changes with your safety in mind:
Due to a Michigan State ordinance, face coverings are required in all buildings and facilities. We kindly ask you bring your own face coverings. Masks are offered upon request, subject to availability.
Indoor Capacity Limits
The state of Michigan has set capacity limits based on square footage of all indoor areas. We have made many changes to table layouts and changing locations of certain departments to make room for others. Unless the state changes key guidelines we will also be only utilizing a limited number of entry ways so we can more accurately control the number of people inside. We understand that this could come as an inconvenience but ask that everyone respects our changes.
Food & Beverage
Due to restrictions put on by the Michigan government, Michigan restaurants and bars can reopen for indoor dining at 50% capacity but with a 10 p.m. curfew starting Feb. 1, 2021. Masks must be worn until seated in all food and beverage areas. There is no food or beverages allowed to be cunsumed on the first floor of lodging in common areas and masks must be worn at all times in common areas.
For many of you it is tradition here at Big Snow Resort to bring in a cooler of food & drinks for the family. Because of capacity limits we want everyone to have a chance to come inside to warm up if needed. This forces us to not allow any carry - ins. Instead we encourage you to boot up and keep all of your belongings in your vehicles and use your vehicles for breaks. We also encourage you to bring food and beverage to keep in your vehicles. No carry-in food or beverage will be allowed into any buildings this year.
Due to state restrictions we ask that one person visits the reservation desk to check-in to the rental units. Mask are required in the common areas of hotel reservation desk. Limit time in the lobby area. For check-out please leave the keys in the rental and call 1-800-346-3426 to check-out.
Health & Racket/ Pool
State Regulations have been increasingly tight when it comes to gym and pool settings. We have made the decision to close the Health & Racket department on our resort for this ski season. Right now we are limited to 50% capacity and find it unfair to our paying guests that can't use the pool area. Due to this, we are only allowing our guests who have paid for a hotel room to use the pools. Please call 1-800-346-3426 to check on availabilty of the pool before arrival at the reservation desk.
