Learning to ski or snowboard just got easier.

Indianhead Mountain's Totem Pole beginner area has tripled in size. Along with a new Ski Carpet 100 feet longer than the older tow it replaces, the entire beginner area has been re-contoured and shaped to provide a more spacious and user friendly area for beginners and ski school lessons.

 

INDIANHEAD MOUNTAIN STATS

-  Vertical Drop:  638 feet

-  Skiable Area:  230 acres

-  Base Elevation: 1297 feet

-  Top elevation:  1935 feet

-  Trails:  30 wide open runs

-  Lifts and tows:  9 (including a Magic Carpet conveyor lift)

-  Terrain parks:  CLOSED FOR THE SEASON - Big Chief Natural Terrain Park, a glade park that accents the natural terrain and wooded area

-  Trail Ratings:

       - 15 Expert Black Runs (50%)      

       - 10 Intermediate Blue Runs (33%)  

       -  5 Beginner Green Runs (17%)

     -  20% Beginner Green Circle Runs 

- Night Skiing:  Night Skiing has ended for the season.  We will be running the lifts extended hours on Saturdays until dusk.

-  Night Skiing Runs:  Closed for the season...Runs open at Blackjack Mountain for night skiing are the Lower Terrain Park, Beginner Area, NASTAR Trail, and Shanty Boy. 

-  Night Skiing Lifts:  Closed for the season.  Lifts open for night skiing are the Rope Tow, Handle Tow, and B Chairlift.
